We will be celebrating
Trinity Church's 130th
Anniversary

Meet the people of The United Methodist Church. We are making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world through our shared faith, mission and ministry.  Welcome to Trinity United Methodist Church here in Lexington, North Carolina.

We have started Sunday School beginning at 9:30 am, choir practice at 10:00 am, and worship at 10:30am in the Sanctuary and on Facebook

Everyone is Welcome :  "To all who mourn and need Comfort, To all who are tired and need Rest, To all who are friendless and want Fellowship.  To all who sin and need a Savior, And to all who enter, This Church opens its Doors"

We will be celebrating Homecoming on November 12th.  Our guest singers are sisters Serah and Mischa Brown.  Serah has four children, fiance Ernerst Mcneair and they worship at High Rock church.  Mischa has two children and they attend House of Refuge Church in Greensboro.  They are the daughters of Cathy Yountz Pennell and the granddaughters of Charles and Vickie Yountz. The girls started singing at a very early age, with Cathy writing the songs and directing them.
A Covered Dish Dinner will follow the concert.

From the Pastor Dr. Vern Peterson:
Trinity United Methodist Church is celebrating 128 years of service to Lexington in the name of Jesus. From horse and buggy to space travel, through two World Wars and countless other armed conflicts, the Great Depression, the Cold War, the space race, the Kennedy assassination and Watergate; from computers that occupied an entire building floor to ones we wear on our wrists, the old Victrola to vinyl records to ipods to itunes and cellphones, Trinity has ministered to thousands of people. We began as a mill church ministering to those who lived in the mill homes around us, many of whom walked to church each Sunday. Today our membership includes people from all over the area in and around Lexington. While we are now an older church with a much smaller membership, we remain an active congregation striving to make a difference in the lives of people in Lexington. I am honored to be a part of this great and faithful congregation as we move into our 128th year.

Trinity Church was organized in 1894. It has been on all four corners of South Main Street and 9th Ave. It began as a part of Wennoah Cotton Mill Village and over the years and changes to the area, Trinity became a neighborhood church that has WELCOMED all to come in and join and be part of Trinity Church!
We begin our 129th Anniversary Sunday November 12, 2023

Through these 128 years several members have responded to God’s calling from Methodist and Wesleyan pastors, Theology professor, and a Anglican priest to Episcopal Bishop!
